Celebration of Lunar New Year in Y3M, by Mrs Harris
Date: 29th Jan 2025 @ 8:35pm
Year 3 celebrated Lunar New Year by learning all about how Chinese people prepare for the New Year and all of the traditional things they do to celebrate.
Chloe had kindly brought in some fortune cookies for us all to share and with Scarlet, they explained to everyone what they are and what special surprise to find inside of them!
We then decorated and cut out our snakes - a symbol of wisdom, intuition and elegance.

Science Club with Mrs McGunigall ๐ฌ๐งช๐ญ
Science club had fun experimenting with plastics. Did you know that plastics are made of many molecules stuck together in a long chain? We discovered that when you pierce a bag with pencils, it breaks the chain, but the molecules of the chain are sticky so they make a seal around the pencil and won’t let the water out! Guess what happened when we removed the pencils! ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ
