Claire House 'Hero Hike'

Dear Parents and Carers,
Year 5 and 6 – Claire House Hero Hike – Thursday 3rd July
We are excited to let you know that our Year 5 and 6 pupils will be taking part in the Claire House Hero Hike on Thursday 3rd July.
We will be leaving school at 10.00 am and returning to school at 2:45pm.
The event will take place at Delamere Forest and will involve a 3km hike, supported by staff from Claire House. A dedicated Claire House team member will accompany our group throughout the day, guiding us through all activities and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
As well as completing the walk, the children will also take part in a Forest Explorers activity and complete tasks from their lanyard activity packs. There will be time for lunch either in the forest or back at the event village, and we will decide what suits our group best on the day in discussion with our Claire House guide.
What to Bring:
To ensure your child is prepared for the day, please make sure they bring the following:
- Packed lunch and drink (in a named bag or rucksack)
- Suitable footwear – Comfortable trainers or walking shoes are essential for the 3km hike
- Weather-appropriate clothing – A waterproof coat and layers for comfort
- Sun protection – Sun cream (applied before school) and a sun hat if needed
All items should be clearly named.
