Cat Rescue!

We received this wonderful email from a member of our school community. We are also very proud of their teamwork, problem solving and above all compassion.

'This evening on St Edward’s close, on the field, a childs (from Year 2) kitten was stuck in a tree and has been for days. The children worked together, asked an adult for a sheet and waited for over an hour trying to coach the cat down. One child’s dad climbed up the tree but couldn’t reach the poor kitten. The RSPCA was called, the fire brigade and tree surgeons but nobody was willing to help. But the kids felt so strongly about saving the innocent little thing and about their friend. They stayed to help, as a parent I’ve never felt so proud of my own kids, and seeing them work together with their friends shows amazing credit to the school for helping them learn these skills. All children involved are in the pictures, I don’t know the names of all the children that helped but shows what type of values the school are helping instil in our children.'
