F2 - Friendship and Forgiveness - Mrs McLaren's Class, by Mrs Harris

Date: 26th Mar 2023 @ 9:35pm

F2

On Friday our children brought in their teddies. We read a story about a teddy being unkind at a picnic and how his friends forgave him. We then went off and worked together. We spoke about how we show forgiveness to others and how we share and show kindness,

The children had so much fun and were excellent at talking about their feelings. Our teddies had so much fun too and were very well behaved all day.

We also made sandwiches during cooking with the help of our teachers.

We chose the toppings we wanted, buttered our bread and cut them.

Farm day, by Mrs McLaren

Date: 23rd Mar 2023 @ 6:04pm

This week the children enjoyed taking part in a farm experience. We started our day by milking some cows, collecting eggs in the egg run, planting seeds, washing machinery and feeding and looking after our pony.

The children really enjoyed working together and had so much fun exploring the courtyard farm area. The children built a pen for the pony so that it wouldn't escape. They also transported fruit and vegetables to the kitchen where they cooked fresh meals for the farm workers. We all enjoyed using our imagination. It was so much fun working together just like the animals in our story Farmer Duck.

F2K - Enterprise Day, by Miss Kealey

Date: 7th Mar 2023 @ 5:59pm

F2K have enjoyed taking part in Enterprise Day. We decided to create something that would make others smile, whilst also raising some money for our class. The children decided on making cards! They worked as a team to create a range of different card designs. The children then thought about what they would like to spend the money they raise on and created a class spider diagram to show their ideas!

Today we opened our ‘F2 Card and Cake Shop’ - the children enjoyed looking at each other’s designs and choosing a card to take home to their families. We had lots of cards left over so we’ve decided to give these to local care home to share a smile with our wider community.

Excellent work F2!

F2 , by Miss Kealey

Date: 8th Jul 2022 @ 6:10pm

During the Summer Term, F2 have been learning all about the ocean - from under the sea to the seashore! They have learnt some interesting facts about sea creatures, their homes and how to keep safe at the seaside.

We ended our topic by turning our playground into our very own beach! The children thoroughly enjoyed spending the afternoon all together as a year group joining in with all the different seaside activities.

We made sandcastles, relaxed in deck chairs, played beach volley ball, made out own lifeguard station/huts, build light houses and paddled in the ‘sea’ whilst our 4 super lifeguards (also known as the F2 team) watched over us to make sure we were having fun and staying safe.

We ended our afternoon by sharing our favourite parts of the topic whilst enjoying an ice -cream and keeping cool in the shade.

What a brilliant afternoon to add to our fantastic year in F2!
